SmarDen Partners with MUJ to Empower Future Innovators
The future of technology depends on how well students are prepared today. At SmarDen, we believe the strongest way to achieve this is by connecting academia with industry. That belief recently took shape when we partnered with the Mechatronics Engineering Department at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). This collaboration opens doors for students to explore IoT, automation, and smart technology beyond the classroom, while gaining hands-on exposure to industry practices.
Why This Partnership Matters
1. Aligning Industry and Academia
Too often, students learn theory without understanding how it translates into real-world applications. Through this partnership, SmarDen and MUJ aim to bridge that gap. Students will not only understand the foundations of IoT and automation but also get to see how these concepts power real solutions in smart homes, smart buildings, and industrial IoT.
2. Hands-On Learning and Mentorship
The collaboration began when Shrey Sharma, Founder and CEO of SmarDen, was invited to MUJ as an external industrial supervisor for final-year project submissions. What stood out was not just the technical ability of the students, but their excitement to explore areas like AI, AR, VR, and IoT. SmarDen became a natural platform for those discussions, and this enthusiasm encouraged us to formalize the tie-up.
3. Career-Readiness for Students
This initiative is not limited to classroom knowledge. By working on live IoT projects, workshops, and automation challenges, MUJ students will develop industry-ready engineering skills. That means they graduate with more than a degree, they graduate with portfolios that prove their ability to solve real-world problems.
Our Journey to Collaboration
A First Step at MUJ
Our journey started with a simple invitation. During project evaluations, Shrey Sharma guided students through their submissions, emphasizing practical problem-solving. The discussions revealed how hungry students were to learn about connected technologies and IoT careers in India.
Signing the MoU
This curiosity and alignment of vision led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in July. The agreement established a structured partnership, giving MUJ students consistent access to IoT training workshops, internships, and career opportunities at SmarDen.
SmarDen’s Track Record in Training
This is not new territory for us. SmarDen has already trained more than 10,000 students across India, empowering them with the tools to innovate in IoT automation solutions. The MUJ collaboration builds on that experience and allows us to shape the next generation of smart tech innovators.
What MUJ Students Can Expect
Joint Projects and Workshops
Students will get opportunities to work on projects co-created by MUJ faculty and SmarDen mentors. These projects will reflect real industry needs, from smart home automation prototypes to industrial IoT applications.
Guest Lectures and Seminars
We will conduct regular knowledge sessions on IoT, automation, and related technologies. These are not textbook lectures, but interactive seminars where students can ask questions, challenge assumptions, and build confidence in applying new concepts.
Internship and Placement Pathways
High-performing students will gain direct access to internships and placement opportunities at SmarDen. For students looking at IoT careers in India, this creates a smooth pathway from learning to employment.
Research and Innovation Support
Students with promising ideas will have access to resources, mentorship, and prototyping support, SmarDen will be there to help turn ideas into reality.
Looking Ahead
This collaboration is not just about one MoU or one department. It is about building an ecosystem where engineering students in India can learn directly from industry leaders, experiment with technologies like IoT, AR/VR, and AI, and prepare for careers that define the future.
At SmarDen, our mission has always been to combine innovation, education, and industry expertise. By working with MUJ, we are creating better opportunities for students who want to lead in the world of IoT and automation.
Together, we are building smarter futures, one project, one idea, and one innovator at a time.
